Blue Orchestra Season 2 Release Date

NHK and the official website of the anime series Blue Orchestra have finally announced that the second season is under production. Along with it, a visual was released featuring a collection of scenes from the first season, which premiered in April 2023

The series concluded on 8 October 2023 with 24 episodes in total. As of now, no specific release window for the series has been revealed. Considering that the second season was announced right after the first season ended, fans can expect to see the second season of Blue Orchestra sometime in 2025.

Blue Orchestra or Ao No Orchestra is an anime series based on the Japanese web manga series by Makoto Akui. It was released in 2017 on Shogakukan’s online platforms MangaONE and Ura Sunday. The anime television series produced by Nippon Animation was aired from April to October 2023.

Blue Orchestra Season 2 Plot

The series has had over 3.3 million copies in circulation as of 2023. It even won the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award for the Shonen category. 

In the series, we follow Hajime Aono. a boy who once had a deep passion for playing violin and greatly admired his father who was a professional violinist. But after the headlines of his father’s scandalous affair, which resulted in a bittersweet divorce of his parents, Aono swears to never touch his violin ever. 

It changes when Aono runs into an aspiring violinist Ritsko Akine in the last year of his middle school. Their adorable encounters and Aono’s interest in her “horrible” playing skills, resulted in their teacher pushing him to regain his talent by joining the orchestra club of their school. Slowly, Aono starts to heal from his past blues and finds his true passion.
