The Dark Gathering episode 5 revolved around Keitarou as he went to attend a welcome party to try and make some friends. But this was unsuccessful, and he decided to go to an after-party invited by Nagayama.
This turned out to be a trap as Nagayama was a spririt who captured him to try and get Keitarou to commit suicide.
But Eiko and Yayoi were eavesdropping on Keitarou the whole time. Fortunately, they were able to follow him and rescue him in no time. After this, Yayoi offered to teach Keitarou how to deal with spiritual encounters.
