One Piece Episode 1089 Recap
A global earthquake that affects Wano, Kano, Water 7, and Marine HQ causes the sea level to increase by a meter at the beginning of the episode. It is discovered that Egghead Island, a secret research center where Vegapunk and Sentomaru are creating artificial devil fruits and old weapons, is the origin of the earthquake.
Massive Marine forces under the command of Kizaru are launching an assault on the island in order to capture Vegapunk and destroy his plans. The Straw Hat Pirates and their friends, who have penetrated the island and kidnapped York, one of the Gorosei, are to blame for this since Vegapunk has been working covertly with them.
York informs everyone that Vegapunk has discovered the truth of the Void Century, the Will of D, and the One Piece and that he wants to use his inventions to help Luffy in keeping his pledge to Joy Boy. The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Luffy goes into his Gear 5 form and gets ready for his final battle with Kaido.

The epic battle between Kaido and Luffy, who are both using their most powerful forms, will continue in the episode 1090. A combination of his Gear 4 and his upgraded Haki, Luffy’s Gear 5 enables him to control the flow of energy both inside and surrounding him. In his fusion form, Kaido combines his dragon and human selves, enhancing both his physical and elemental prowess.
The two clash violently, sending shockwaves across the entire island. While Vegapunk is attempting to uncover the mysteries of the world, the Marines and the World Government’s forces are engaged in combat with the other Straw Hats and their allies.
