What is the Record of Ragnarok?

The anime has very mixed reviews which, might question you, but before going to that, let’s talk about what is this anime all about. Record of Ragnarok is an all-out war between gods and humans where 13 champions from each side go into one on one fight.

The first faction to win seven battles will be declared the winner. With the extinction of humanity on the line, the stakes are high, so let’s see how the battle goes.

Record of Ragnarok Season 3 Release Dates

The team released part two of season two in October 2023, and, we hope they are already working on Record of Ragnarok Season 3, but before that, there are some major issues that the team needs to address first. We will talk about that in the next part.

Record of Ragnarok Season 3

Till now, the team has not made any official announcement regarding season 3, but looking at the points below; we can predict that Record of Ragnarok Season 3 will start airing in Summer 2025. The studio got relocated and they are also working on other projects, so there’s no possibility of another season until 2025. We made this prediction on the following basis:

  • The source material available, season 2 part 2, will cover the fight between Buddha and Zerofuku, which lasted from chapters 44 to 53 in the manga. And by our predicted time, it will have another epic fight in its arsenal.
  • The author is active, and new chapters are released every month.
  • The anime is quite popular and backed up by Netflix. Also, Season 2 has left a positive impact on the fans overall.

Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Recap

Season 1 consists of 12 episodes that aired on Netflix. Season 1 gave a brief introduction before going with earth-shattering and sky-splitting fights.

One day gods decided to eradicate humanity for all the sins they did but, got interrupted by Brunhild, who is the eldest among the Valkyrie sisters saying, “Why don’t you test the human?” proposing the duel between the great champions among the gods, and humans.

Record of Ragnarok Season 3

Season 1 gave us three fights. The first war between Thor and Lu Bu resulted in a god winning the first match. The second fight was between Adam and Zeus, and the duel came down to the gods.

After two consecutive wins in favor of the gods, humanity desperately needed a victory. It was Sasaki’s great accomplishment to defeat Poseidon to bring humanity this victory over the gods.

The first part includes episode 10 with two battles, and it started airing on January 26th, 2023. Season 2 part 2 contained five more episodes.

In Season 2 Part 1, we have already seen the betrayal of Buddha, and since Buddha has sided with humanity.

He faced the god feared most in Japan, known as Zerofuku. The fight was intense, and here we also saw two gods going berserk.

Record of Ragnarok Season 3 Expectations

After the notable improvement seen from season 1 to season 2 is a good thing, but the team started from rock bottom, so there will be nothing but improvements.

Record of Ragnarok Season 3

Till season 3, the manga will cover three fights, so we expect the team to focus more on fights, rather than backstory. In short, they must try to cover complete material or represent it in a fashion that covers up for the missing content or long episodes.

I hope Netflix gives ample time to the team for the completion of the project, unlike this time which might lead to better reviews and revenue.

Record of Ragnarok Season 3 Spoiler Alert!

We have just finished reading two more epic battles in the manga series after all these crazy battles which will be coming in Record of Ragnarok Season 3.

  • The first one will be the fight between King against King, from the faction of god ‘King of Helheim’ Hades, and to save humanity “The First Emperor” Qin Shi Huang. This fight will be devastating, resulting in the arena being destroyed, well, all of the fights here are insane.
  • The second one will be the most hyped-up battle between ‘The Lord of Flies’ Belzebub and ‘Human Sorcerer’ Nikola Tesla. We are sure this would have made you jump out of your seat. The fight will be like that too.

Thinking Deep with Deep

This section is for those who are really into anime, and who go by the quote, ‘No game, no life’. Sorry for the mistake here is the right one ‘No anime, no life’.

Let’s not talk about season 1, it was terrible, like really terrible. People said that if they flip through the manga, they get better animation than the anime. After watching season 2, the anime has significant improvements, but it’s still not that good.

Record of Ragnarok Season 3

As a consequence of CGI, the use of high details for static scenes, is why you see the top-notch quality when characters are still, but it is painful when they start moving.

The next issue is with the time given. The anime is aired on Netflix. They rush the projects, and rendering a CGI fight needs time.

Coming on to the next big issue, and that is duration. The fights are very long. Each takes five long episodes to complete, and this is a big disappointment coming from people who have read the manga.

Where to Watch Record of Ragnarok Season 3?

As in the previous seasons, the sequel will also be an ONA so you can watch it on Netflix.

Authors Few Words

Finally, we have already talked a lot about the Record of Ragnarok from bad things to not so bad things. At an individual level we all are rooting for the anime because the manga is a masterpiece and deep down we want that masterpiece to turn out the way we expect.
