The Kingdom Of Ruin Plot
The anime series is based on the Dark Fantasy manga series of the same name by Yoruhashi. It was released in April 2019 in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Garden. The story is set in a fictional world where, for ages, humans and witches had an alliance where witches would use magic to help people.
But when humans eventually develop science that can at times outdo magic, the Redia Empire declares witches obsolete and orders them to be eradicated. The main character, Adonis, is a human orphan who was raised by the witch Chloe, who also taught him her craft. When Chloe is caught and executed, Adonis vows to take revenge against the whole of humanity.
